Last night we began our goodbyes. Or more of “See you soon”. It’s only a month and maybe one more after that when my blood counts get up to a good point that I can see people.
My little sister and her boyfriend Kevin have had my back since the day I said I was getting HSCT they have gone above and beyond with carwashes, baskets, and dinners. My sister has listened to all of my worries & ideas. She is truly my best friend. I want to be better for my family and that includes her. I want us to be able to hike, exercise, and do yoga together.
I also received the most wonderful letter yesterday. It was from a gentleman who lost his son way too soon. A two page letter talking about faith and being mindful and how Jesus always has his hand extended. He is just waiting for you to reach out and grab. The picture above you will see the wooden healing cross which I will also be taking with me to Mexico. This will be to remind me that this is not just my journey and I’m not alone on this journey.
